Why Not a Rubber Ducky Shower Theme?
Rubber ducky shower themes are a fun way to decorate your baby shower. For example, in your punch bowl, float two or three rubber duckys. Remember the carnival game of selecting a rubber ducky and the number on the bottom is the type of prize you get? You can do that with your guests too. Fill a baby bath tub with water and enough rubber duckys so there is one for each guest. If you have a really large party, you can use your bathtub in your bathroom. Put a different number on the bottom of the duck. The number will determine which prize they get. It’s a fun way to award game prizes rather than just handing them out.
Decorate with yellow balloons and streamers and coordinating paper plates. You can start with these rubber ducky paper plates.
There are some really cool ducky paper plates, napkins, and decorations. In addition to the plates, you can purchase a whole set of rubber ducky tableware.
Invitations would be the first thing your guests will see that lets them know this is a ducky themed baby shower. And these match the rest of the ducky decorations that I’m going to show you. I love this theme! This is one of the cutest rubby ducky baby shower invitations that I’ve found.
For a centerpiece, you might take a look at my ducky diaper cake. I’ve included all the instructions so you can make one yourself. For a simple table centerpiece, you could use this cute duck and frog centerpiece for your table.
Here’s a banner that is just a little over ten feet long
and would be cute hanging over your food table or gift table. And of course, it coordinates with the rest of your ducky decorations.
Blow up balloons, tie a ribbon around the neck, and tie to chairs, tables, or anything that you desire. Here are some balloons
in colors that coordinate especially with the rubber ducky theme.
And you could sprinkle in one, two, or three, or more mylar balloons.
Streamers criss-crossed on the ceiling or draped down bannisters or light fixtures would be festive. Select crepe paper streamers that coordinate with your theme.
If you decide to bake your own shower cake, I’ve added a few things that will go along with the them like a cake pan and decorations. Cup cakes are all the rage right now, so you might want to make those. I’ve also listed coordinating items for cupcakes.

Dont get art projects, new mothers dont have time at first, and things directly useful to the baby are most important. I would get a nice laundry basket and fill it will goodies. nipples, a few bottles (even if she’s breast feeding she can use the bottles) a couple blankets, i’d avoid clothes,i know theyre cute but everyone will buy them. Boppy’s are so endlessly useful. spoons, diapers, baby wipes. A nice thermometer, baby grooming kit, infant tylenol. If you want to look ahead, maybe some sippy cups and toddler plates and spoons. teething gel,(check the date, it should last a couple years). If you wanted to get something for mom, try a gift certificate to a local carry out, theres nothing nicer than not having to cook a meal right after the baby comes home. Or some stretch mark cream.
