Baby Shower Planning – But You’re No Dummy
With the help of this baby shower planning guide, you’re going to throw a very cool baby shower. A baby shower is really one of the easiest parties to throw.
Of course, it is still just a party, and there are several things you must think about and decide upon before the big day. Things such as who will host the shower, how much you want to spend, picking a time and date, who you’ll invite, where the shower will be held, the theme, invitations, the food you will serve, decorations, and whether or not you will play games or give out favors, and if you do, what they will be.
Whew! Baby shower planning sounds more daunting than it really is. After all, if you are reading this, you’ve probably already answered the first question — who will host the party – and probably have a good idea of how you will handle the other decisions. So let’s just tackle each decision one at a time. I’ll generally go through each of the decisions here and you can click on each link to get more in depth information.
You can also print out a checklist that will give you a good visual picture of where you are, and what you still need to complete. Let’s get started!

My seoncd baby is due in a month and I had a seoncd baby shower. This baby is a girl and my first was a boy though. If they had been the same gender I might not have had one. I will warn you though that a registry is probably a waste of time though. Unless you had excellent results with your first’s registry I wouldn’t even waste time on it. I had a registry with my son and didn’t get much off of the actual registry. With this one, my shower was with a completely different group of people who I figured would probably buy off the registry. Nope. I only got one thing off my registry. If you do do a registry don’t send people to the registry try to keep a mental list of what’s on there and ask them for specific things. 0Was this answer helpful?
Some people don’t like the thought of giving something that’s asked for. They feel like they might as well give you a gift card or money. And they do have a point. I’d rather give something that the mother wants though. Yes, this was a good point and thanks for the comment. How does everyone else feel about buying a gift of the registry?
